Leonard to Lead 100 Collegiate Women



Charnabria Keichan Leonard is the president of the 100 Collegiate Women of America, Inc. at Prairie View A&M University for 2013-14.  She previously served as Vice President.

The mission of the 100 Collegiate Women of America is to increase and provide opportunities to empower and improve the quality of life for women and to influence leadership development at all levels of society. 

The 100 Collegiate is open to college and professional women who are progressive in their thoughts and actions, and committed and dedicated to the cause of all humanity.  The 100 Collegiate focuses on empowering its membership first and then equip them to bring others forward!

Bria, as she is affectionately known, is the 22 year old daughter of Charlotte Ford-Swanks and Brian Leonard of Houston, Texas.

Bria is senior majoring in biology with a minor in chemistry. She plans on attend Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas and upon graduation, residency and passing the boards, she intends to open a private dental practice in her hometown.

Leonard’s other organization involvement includes serving as the Vice President of Programs for the Prairie View A&M University Pre Alumni Association and being a member of the university’s chapter of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

Bria credits the 100 Collegiate Women for honing and enhancing her leadership and communications skills, networking opportunities and for providing her a sense of sisterhood and bonds that will last a lifetime.

Leonard is looking forward to a very progressive presidency and is counting on the members to join her in carrying out the mission of the organization.
